Acoustic Guitar Strings Names
What kind of acoustic guitar strings are your favorite and why?
Please exclude D’Addario extra light, these fell apart and did not sound good at all. Please tell me name brand, type (example: phosphor bronze), extra light, heavy, steel, or whatever the packaging says. I would like nice strings that don’t fall apart on my second play. Thanks, price doesn’t matter:)
I really like Elixer Phospher Bronze Nanoweb. As far as the gauge goes it depends on my mood. When I go to by them and I’m in the mood for a full, deep sound I’ll pick up mediums, but if I want a bright sound and I don’t feel like killing my fingers, I’ll get lights. Elixers are much more pricey, but they’re worth it. I usually leave mine on for a few months at a time. If you’re not looking to spend 15+ on strings, I’d say go with some Dean Markley Blue Steels, they’re just as good, except that they don’t seem to last as long. Blue Steels also seem to have more of a variety as far as gauges go.
