Our wedding cost us a fortune. No luck of a rich man, but ours. We wanted it to be perfect and it is. Every detail is considered, every moment of an occasion. After all, we have waited ten years to do it. We are very glad we waited. It is a world with over-height of divorces and loneliness. I certainly do not blame the express flight to change for them. My great-grandparents have 60 year long honeymoon after getting engaged in their third date. My parents took a leisurely four months to marry and the happiest couple I know. Some say the world is a different place now. I think that's probably true, although our 10 years could have been seven without risk to our wedding flush. So after ten years, you can say we did it pretty good. We feel that what made today special is personalization. Our guests got us even more that day.
Our wedding and reception were held at a beautiful mansion in Long Island. However, most of the personal touches for our wedding is the free or low detail. They are the details that took the most time, but worth every minute. We put the whole picture outlined five rooms we were using and made sure we included all of our Shots visitors. During cocktail hour we passed around the wine from our home state of Virginia and New York. Instead of a carving station we had raclette, a very personal cheese and potato dish many of our friends and family have shared with us. Because it is spring and is used in cooking school, we named tables after weeds and their respective power myth. We show the important personal poetry throughout as well. We are abundantly blessed to have a very close friend and spiritual performed our ceremony, which was ready to get the appropriate credentials to make it legal. On the pricier side, we had a quartet for play and before the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. For me, nothing beats Ave Maria on cello by. We also spent a dime on a videographer to capture all of it. While I love the pictures, no event will see life and hearing it all over again. Carefully chosen after dinner, with the help of three great friends I surprised my husband with a new song capella barbershop quartet that she now claims that his favorite.
We followed up the wedding in a carefully planned honeymoon. We went to Thailand and Malaysia, which is also pretty easy on the dollar. We took the time to shore on the island of Koh Samui, adventure travel and mountain forests of Malaysia and finally spent time in a luxury hotel in Bangkok. Our honeymoon was added the element of personalization for our visitors because we registered for it. After ten years we will not need a lot of things so we registered for the upgrade a few things to cherish. Visitors who use our honeymoon registry felt wonderfully connected to our strange trip. They gave us a gift of memories.
To personalize your wedding, try some of the following:
Do you think outside the box for your reception. Being foodies, found We have a culinary school associated with my college mate is in a nice big house. It ended up cheaper than the more attractive alternative.
Do not image area of your visitors all around your cocktail and / or reception area.
Do not have photos only of your own.
Do you have a personalized menu and cocktail hours tailored to your tastes (unless they're excessive). Ask about options and alternatives. Serve a Cocktail significant for you in some way (what you take when you first kissed, your first date, the night you got engaged?) Again, I think out of the box.
Do you play music you love rather than the typical fare. Take time with your wish list DJ. Communicate the DJ to make sure he knows what you want.
Do not think about writing your own vows.
Do not register for your honeymoon. It'll create a buzz about your honeymoon, to enhance your every day for you to chat to visitors about them during of your event.
Do not send your guests away in a box out of favor. Ice cream scoopers and cake servers are most used. We sent Our guests in the house with grass on a lovely pot. Let your own tastes guide you in this.
We really wanted a memorable wedding, not a cookie-cutter event. We were ecstatic with our day and not change a thing.
