Pushing Teaching Assistants Who Have Grown Exhausted By Playing Second Fiddle
“Always the bridesmaid, never the bride”- the tone of discontent behind these famous line normally represent the frustrated emotions of the so-called “second fiddle.” They have usually assumed the assistant function with a specific degree of motivation in the past but with the passing of time they have somehow arrived at the feeling of ripeness that they are in a position to assume the lead position and yet it remains evasive.
“Playing second fiddle” is an idiom in the English terminology that describes finding yourself in a second place or position. The original source of the expression derives from the image of an orchestra where stringed instruments called in the times of old as “fiddles” are set-up when it comes to 1st and 2nd violins.
The first violin players, of course, play the lead part in the stringed Musical Instrument section of the orchestra while the next violin player provide the backdrop improving of the violin area. As the second violin players are recognized to merely play the “second fiddle” position yet the orchestra maestro would never play down their particular roles in the general aggrandizement of the breathtaking orchestra music.
Exactly the same principle applies with work personnel particularly in the area of school coaching. While the primary role of training kids is the accountability of the main instructor, he nevertheless values the equally important role of his classroom assistant.
Teaching assistants are hired and designated by the school management because they recognize the significance of their capabilities in assisting manage the path of the pupil’s understanding along with keeping general harmony and order in the classroom. Without the help of assistants who might be just assuming part time teaching jobs, the main teacher would not be in a position to maintain a classroom surroundings favorable for optimum learning.
Possibly the challenge of the second violin players, by some means shown by assistant teachers, is why they are prone to discontent is always that they take part in the same exact sort of musical instrument as the very first violin players. The cello and the double base, whilst still belonging to the same stringed section of the orchestra, provide a really distinctive musical timbre than the violin which could make their players secure within their sense of uniqueness.
Second violin players, however, may see that when they draw out exactly the same musical sound quality and equal capability as the first violin players then why must they be placed on the second fiddle place? While teaching assistants who have got a similar expert credentials as the primary teachers may feel the same bewilderment yet these second fiddle players could find the satisfactory answer to their question in the realm of role purpose and service faithfulness.
Folks various positions have specific objective to carry out their destiny-given positions. When they have faithfully and fully served their objective in the current assignments they have performed then they would be ready for promotion to the greater position that they had long sought after. As the good Old Book states, “he who is proven faithful in little will be entrusted with more.”

This is one of the most unusual story # 1 song ever. see, "hectic Monday Blues" is a # 1 R & B hit in 1942 by jazz greats Earl "Fatha" Hines and Billy Eckstein.
But the song "stormy Monday" or "They call it violent Monday," written by the blues guitar legend T-Bone Walker and first recorded in 1947, is a more popular covers and song, and became known as "violent Monday Blues." While both are structurally blues compositions, they are not the same song at all.
This is the first verse of the song Hines-Eckstein:
Stormy Monday Blues Lyrics
(Words and Music by Earl Hines, Billy Eckstein and Bob Crowder)
It has gone and started raining
I'm as lonely as a man can
It's gone and started raining
I'm as lonely as a man can
Why when it rains
I actually ize what … you mean
This T-Bone Walker song begins, "they call it violent Monday, Tuesday but just as bad …."
Among music lovers, there seemingly is not much confusion about the songs because most just do not know the 1942 "violent" song, though it is a # 1 hit.
But "They call it violent Monday" is known everywhere despite only reaching # 5 on the R & B charts in 1948!
Although the confusing title is a moot point with the public, as "They call it violent Monday" is clearly the definitive "Violent Monday" song, the similarity of the title song is a nightmare for writers and publishers of the songs, such as performance royalties that are often not applied.
"Problems ensued when artist named ["They call it violent Monday"] stormy Monday Blues, "[records] … for example Bobby Bland is a well-known singing, as it is non-credited and royalties went to the Hines-Eckstine song rather than Walker's. It may also have happened to some of the treatments that are only called as "stormy Monday." – Wikipedia
"They call it stormy Monday" has been recorded hundreds of times by a wide array of artists, most notably by Bobby "Blue" Bland in the 60s and Allman Brothers in 1971 with their widely-acclaimed classic The Fillmore East album.
"The original recording appeared on Black & White Records, produced by Ralph Bass, and was one of the [T-Bone] Walker's breakthrough sides say pioneering electric blues guitar … BB King has said that the 'Call it stormy Monday' inspired him to start playing electric guitar. "- Wikipedia
Sidebar: stormy Monday is also the title of a 1988 feature film starring Sean Bean, Tommy Lee Jones, sting and Melanie Griffith.
(They call it) stormy Monday Lyrics
(Words and Music by T-Bone Walker)
They call it violent Monday, Tuesday but only as bad
They call it violent Monday, but Tuesday's as bad
Wednesday's worse, and Thursday also sad
Yes the eagle flies on Friday, and Saturday I go out to play
Eagle flies on Friday, and Saturday I go out to play
Sunday I go to church, then I kneel down and pray
Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy, my heart in misery
Crazy about my baby, yes, send him back to me
