The Different Easy Way to Learn Guitar
It is vital to note that noobs aren’t the sole folks who are having difficulty in correct strumming. In that regard, you can’t truly blame yourself for being such pathetic guitarists during periods when you hardly can manage the music you are playing. Keep in mind that there’s no easy way to learn guitar because you’ve got to do all the leg work that means that you have got to practice a lot before you may be able to become a perfect guitar strummer. And along with practicing, you have to have all the resources you can get to lead you along the path, these are some of the things that you are going to need :
1. Books- you can invest a boatload of effort to get some instructional products in the market. Using book is an easy way to learn guitar because you will be able to bring the lesson with you anywhere you go. So no matter if you are on top of the mountain, when you realize that you want to pursue with your learning adventure then you can easily grab the book and flip through the pages to learn.
2. Video- to get a feel of having a real person who talks with you about how to do things, you will need a video guitar lesson. The good thing about this option is that you can obtain the lesson given by a professional guitarist but minus the big amount of cash you need to shell out. This is one of the most preferred options for easy way to learn guitar.
3.Personal Tutors- if you’ve got the money to spare, hiring the service of non-public tutors is one choice you shouldn’t fail to think about. The smartest thing about this option is that you are going to have someone that will keep track on your progress so making you experience to be an easy way to learn guitar. The sole issue with this technique is that you’re going to have to spare an enormous amount of money for the time and effort given by the pro.
4. Self Instruction- if you believe that you would rather do things on your own then getting an argument of your favorite mag and all the resources you can get about learning the way to play the guitar on your own is a good selection. Also, this is one of the least expensive options that you can try, as this may further give you the sense of satisfaction when you complete the task.

Video Games Teaches You How to Play The Drums
Video game systems have really advanced since we first played Pong, PacMan and all of the other classics. Who envisioned back years ago that one day video games could be used to teach real skills or become so realistic and technologically advanced?
Rock Band is one video game that is awesome to do, but they also say at Harmonix Music that if you master the Rock Band drum set on the ‘hard’ setting, you can pretty much play the drums for real! Question is though are you really drumming, or just copying the pattern you see on the screen? If you are able to play along with the video game, that does not translate into the real world and does not mean you will be able to play a real drum kit. To play real drums you need to be able to read music. which you won’t learn playing a game; excellent coordination and rhythm. If you can’t read music you may never be able to be in a band unless you are musically talented and have the instincts to know what to play. Bands today don’t use electronic drums like were so common in the 1980′s . Real music give the musician creativity over the volume, pitch and duration of the drum note and cymbals.
One thing real drums won’t need is Guitar Hero World Tour cymbal cable, as they don’t have cables that are poorly designed and almost always fail.
Even a basic drum kit is far more complicated than the Guitar Hero or Rock Band drum set. For a non-musician, I’m sure the thought of a real drum kit is intimidating! Imagine sitting on stage with your drums, with the knowledge that your band and loving fans all rely on you. If you’re able to do that you might be a great drummer, but for a beginner even the Guitar Hero or Rock Band drum set can be too much.
Learning drumming starts with knowing have to keep the beat. So being able to tap your feet means you’re a drummer? Not reality, no. A good drummer adds their own touch to the song and enhances it as well as providing a base rhythm for the rest of the band to follow. You may not always notice the drums, but if you were to delete them out of the song you definitely would notice for sure!
Can Rock Band games actually teach how to play drums? Probably not, but they can help you with the basics. Learn the basics with the Playstation games, practice your counting out the beat, and you will be starting your one way journey to the top! How do you get better on guitar, just keep practicing right? Wrong! If you want to improve your guitar playing you have to do more than just practice you must know WHAT to practice and HOW to practice.
There a lot of ‘old wives’ tales and myths floating around about practicing music that basically goes like this “if you lock yourself away for a couple of hours a day you will become an accomplished player!”
The real world version goes more like this “if you lock yourself away for a couple of hours every day without a definite practice strategy and clearly defined goal(s) there’s a good chance your guitar playing could be going around and around in circles, you may loose your enthusiasm and motivation and possibility give up guitar and music altogether”. It’s true and unfortunately it’s already happened to thousands of players.
I don’t agree 100% with the “practice makes perfect” phrase, rather…
“perfect practice makes perfect!”
Mistake 1: To just keep on practicing – You know the old saying “if you find yourself in a hole the best thing to do is stop digging!” Good advice but something that is not often applied to guitar practice. If you find your guitar playing going nowhere I recommend you stopped doing that and take the time to get
your playing back on track.
Solution: STOP! whatever you are going on guitar and take out a blank piece of paper draw a line down the middle of the page, on the left hand side of the page make a heading “things to work on” then on the right hand side of the page make a heading titled “why”.
When you have finished your page should look like this:

The idea is for you to (a) identify the areas of your guitar playing that need work and (b) have a reason for working on these problems.
Once your brain has something definite to work on your whole body will take on a different attitude to practicing and playing the guitar and you will find yourself moving towards your goals rapidly.
The trick is to write things down on paper so you can look at the problem without the guitar in your hands; otherwise there’s a good chance you will send a lot of time working on aspects of your playing that actually don’t need work, so essentially a lot of practice time is literally thrown out the window, it’s wasted time, once you get a laser beam fix on your targeted ‘problem’ areas you will soon overcome your guitar playing obstacles.
Mistake 2: practicing too fast – everyone does this but only the best players learn how to control and discipline themselves to overcome this hazard.
Solution: Understand that “speed comes as a by-product of accuracy” not the other way around. It’s not an achievement to say that you are a “fast and sloppy player” there’s no great skill involved there, in fact anyone could do that… you could give your guitar to the postman and he could run his fingers up
and down the strings as fast as he could but you wouldn’t call that a memorable musical experience would you… of course not!
Write that down in BIG letters and carry it with you in your guitar case “Speed is a by-product of accuracy”. Learn to practice everything in s-l-o-w motion in the same manner as people practice the martial arts.
Mistake 3: not making the distinction between data and motor skill practice.
Solution: Before you begin a practice session be clear which type of practice session is required to achieve your current musical goals. Basically there’s two types of guitar practice:
Data memory training – this is where you are learning something new; these sessions must be kept short 2-5 minutes maximum.
Motor skills training – this is where you are practicing something you already know; practice sessions are typically 20-30mins in duration
It’s possible to learn something wrong and practice it until the mistake becomes ingrained and very difficult to re-learn, often the player lacks the sheer determination to overcome the musical ‘banana-peel’ and the mistake becomes a fatal one.
Don’t let this happen to you, understand the concepts above and apply them to your next practice session on guitar.

You CAN learn from a video if you take the time to study it carefully — that means working on one small section at a time, watching one section, doing your best to play along just like the instructor on the video. Watch how the instructor holds the guitar and positions his hands and you do it the same way. Then rewind that small section and play along again, rewind and do it again, and again, until you have that one lesson completely mastered before you go on to the next bit. Trouble is that a lot of people buy an instructional video, watch the whole thing through once or twice, but never really spend the time to actually work with it to learn anything.
The biggest advantage of learning from an instructor as compared to a video is that if you don’t understand something or can’t figure out how to do something you can always ask the instructor as many questions as you want or need. Or if the instructor sees that you don’t understand, he or she can always find another way to explain it, or show you an easier way to do it. You can rewind a video and watch it again and again a hundred times but you can never ask a question or get a different explanation.
IMO, the one-on-one interaction you get from a live instructor is worth paying money for, at least in the beginning when you’re trying to develop correct habits and techniques. Then once you have the basics you can move on to instructional videos if there’s something specific you want to learn.

Mel’s clear and friendly approach has helped thousands of guitarists, bassists and keyboard players and continues to win praise from the music press. He has been described as “the Mr. Nice of video tuition” (Total Guitar) – which he likes – and “layed back to the point of geography teacher” (The Little Picture Show) – which he isn’t sure about.
