Conquering Stress – Five Tips That Can Make Your Life Less Stressful

Each person responses to stress differently. Some people are overwhelmed by it, some try to get used to it, while a handful of people develop coping mechanisms that allow them to breeze through it or at least make it more bearable.
Below are some tips to conquering stress which may help you, like others, to handle stress better.

{Exercise}.

It is important to spend at least 30 minutes of your everyday on a physical activity. Not only is being sedentary makes a person sluggish and feeling and looking unhealthy, it also robs the body with the chance of releasing mood-enhancing chemicals that can enhance our moods as well as the way you respond to and handle stressful situations. To top these, engaging in physical exercise also allows a person to have a sense of accomplishment.

{Find that place where you can be at peace with yourself and everything else}.

Stress can also be conquered by doing something or going somewhere that is relaxing. Everyone have our own zen modes where we can be at peace with ourselves and with everything in our life, so try to find yours. It could be as simple as staring at the sky for a few minutes, hanging around a lake or a quiet place for a few hours, taking a weekend vacation to where you free of your responsibilities, locking yourself in your room and listen to your favorite songs, taking a hot shower or hiking in a forest. Anything that can help you relax and get away from it all will definitely help. Sometimes, all you need are just a few moments of silence to charge you up.

{Find a hobby}.

Hobbies are great for people who are dealing with intense levels of stress on a daily basis. A hobby can be as simple as learning a new language, participating in a particular sports, or collecting certain things. Again, this is different for everybody. As long as it gives you alternatives and so long as it takes your mind away from things that stress you, it could help. Be careful that you don’t have problems with finding a good hobby. Not being able to find enjoyment in some things, especially things that you once loved and enjoyed is a sure sign of depression. So by all means, try to find a hobby that you can truly enjoy.

{Let go}.

Try to let go of things that burden you. These are excess baggage that you can't just afford to carry around. Things that you are struggling to let go are usually the things that add more worries to you. So let go, and free yourself from worries that you shouldn’t carrying around.

{Laugh it off}.

There is truth in the old saying, 'Laughter is the best medicine'. Practice laughing everyday and take on a happy attitude and you will find that the things that the things that can stress you out can actually become a source of your happiness. So bring more joy in your life and laugh a little more, even if sometimes that means you will have to laugh at your own flaws.

To be in the music industry is a dream many of us want to come true. Sometimes, there may be so much advice and so many directions to go in, that students often follow the wrong path, or are just misinformed about how precisely to get started in the music business. Thinking of going to a festival Music this year? Then get the wellies at the ready and read on to make sure you're prepared! Here are our top ten tips …

1) Well I can also say it now. Take WELLIES. This may seem like common sense to most but Field Rain 100,00 + people trampling around = lots and lots of mud! You might think you can cope without them or you do not want to look like a saddo, but when it was pouring down and the mud's up to your ankles, you're glad You took my advice!

Second) Take Sun cream. Ok I know what you're thinking, "wellies and Li cream? Ae you a moron?". Well I'm sure Anyone who's braved a music festival will tell you, if it is not p ** sing down, it was baking hot, there really is no happy medium so be prepared for all evantualities.

3) Be it as early as possible. Unless you want to be camped 38 miles from the main stage reached there as early as you can.

4) Choose your spot wiseley. There's a fine line between a large area and a horrible place. Close to the fence may be a good idea because it gives you easy toileting but you can see all around you have the same idea and you get a river of flowing pee next to you. Do get there early and take a wide area for your camp, turn from your 'lets go have a look around 'on the first day to find every man and his dog sound right between you and your mates. Keep it tight, leave enough space in the middle for bbq and mark your territory (like never!)

5) Do not take too many clothes. A cluster and an extra set is normal work. It's going to be a trip from the car park in campsite (and I'm talking hours rather than minutes) so that the lighter the load the better that!

6) Be polite to bring you food. A typical cost of keeping Burger £ 65.90 and a portion of chips will set you back £ 92 so taking some food is always a good idea. Be careful not to do anything that could go off (your tent is heat) and not too heavy (remember you have to carry it).

7) Take some toilet roll. It'll save your life and you can sell it for a small fortune if you get of stuck for cash.

Go and see a band you've never heard of. I've discovered some of the best bands by just randomly rocking up in a tent or stage in the early afternoon, I believe, it will change your life.

9) Memorise the way back to your tent. The pitch black after 10 pints of good stuff, it all looks the same! And the green portaloo's really not make for a good sleep night.

10) Have fun, be safe spead some love and bring some back for the rest of us!

Happiness Heartaches $13.99 Originally released in 1977, and reissued on CD by Wounded Bird, Happiness Heartaches is a rock solid date by the Oblivion Express. Along with Brian Auger’s gigantic musical personality, the set is also driven in equal part by former Miles Davis and Return To Forever drummer Lenny White, as well as percussionist Lennox Laington. Rhythm is the key to groove, and it is displayed here in overdrive. This is “groove jazz” with teeth, and a deeply funky and welcome alternative to the increasing presence of disco drum machines in jazz recordings. And make no mistake, Happiness Heartaches is a jazz record, a claim many of the era’s jazzmen who were recording cannot hope to claim, so complete was their cave in to disco’s chart influence. “Spice Island,” with its languid vocal line and melody, influenced by Airto and Flora to be sure, but also by Leon Thomas’ solo recordings, is a case in point. Auger’s contrapuntal solo coming as a tag off the vocal and being played foil to by Jack Mills’ guitar is simply sublime. On “Gimme A Funky Beat,” the band takes the notion of Brazilian Carnaval into overdrive, with a rollicking bassline by Clive Chaman. Alex Ligertwood’s vocals leave a bit to be desired, as he is clearly not a jazz singer, but they aren’t too irritating. The set ends with a tour de force by Auger entitled “Paging Mr. McCoy,” a keyboard orgy propelled by the rhytmnatist’s percussion team. It’s full of crescendos, stops, starts, and side passages (like a beautiful, sped-up quote from the theme of John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme”) as well as regal overtones. The only real complaint is a consistent one regarding Wounded Bird’s reissues: rather than recasting and re-contextualizing the original cover art, they just shrink it, and there are no liner notes, making for a shoddy little package. Nevertheless, the music’s the important thing, so despite the real lack of aesthetics shown by the label visually, this is certainly a welcome addition to the Auger CD catalog. ~ Thom Jurek
