Yong Peng has two main interchanges on NorthSouth Expressway including north to Kuala Lumpur and south to Johor Bahru. Slightly more than half of the local residents are of Chinese origin; whose forefathers migrated from southern China in the 1880s. The rest are Malays and Indians who mainly reside in the surrounding Yong Peng areas. Other than Malay, the other main language used is Mandarin with an accent strongly influenced by the Fuzhou and Hokkien Dialects. Some even travel further and settle in foreign countries such as Singapore, Taiwan, China, Australia, Canada, the UK or the USA for work. Ontology Mapping by Mao, Ming/ Peng, Yefei [Paperback]

Ontology Mapping by Mao, Ming/ Peng, Yefei [Paperback]

$132.24

The WWW now is widely used as a universal medium for information exchange. Semantic interoperability among different information systems in the WWW is limited due to information heterogeneity, and the non semantic nature of HTML and URLs. Ontologies have been suggested as a way to solve the problem of information heterogeneity by providing formal, explicit definitions of data and reasoning ability over related concepts. Given that no universal ontology exists for the WWW, work has focused on finding semantic correspondences between similar elements of different ontologies, i.e., ontology mapping. In this book, two generic ontology mapping approaches are proposed. The first approach is the PRIOR] approach, a new generic and adaptive ontology mapping approach that is based on propagation theory, information retrieval techniques and artificial intelligence. The second approach is a noninstance learningbased approach that transforms the ontology mapping problem to a binary classification problem and utilizes machine learning techniques as a solution. Experimental results show both approaches perform well on the tests of OAEI ontology matching campaign 2007. Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Ang Peng Siong is a swimmer from Singapore, who once held the world no.1 ranking in the 50 m freestyle. Ang was taught to swim at the age of five by his father Ang Teck Bee, who competed in judo at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. He studied at Anderson Secondary School and AngloChinese School. Ang first represented Singapore at the 1977 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, where he was a silver medalist in the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay. His first major international competition was the Hawaii International Invitational Swimming Championship, an event which included many top swimmers from countries that boycotted the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. During the meet, Ang delighted the swimming fraternity by being the only nonAmerican swimmer to qualify for the 50m freestyle final. This is Starwest’s nitrogen-flushed double wall silverfoil pack. Used as an infusion, decoction, extract, tincture and poultice. Used throughout the Indian subcontinent as a poultice for skin diseases and the healing of wounds. It also has an ancient reputation for aiding mental clarity and lowering blood pressure. Hydrocotyle asiatica, listed by Grieve and King’s, is sometimes listed as a synonym, but Oriental medical references say that Hydrocotyle is actually a different and medicinally inferior plant. Centella’s saponins (including asiaticoside, madecassoside and madasiatic acid) seem to reduce scar formation in wound healing by inhibiting the production of connective tissue as they simultaneously close the wound. As the research below indicates, Centella has been experimentally shown to be ‘effective in venous insufficiency, reducing ankle edema, foot swelling, capillary filtration rate and improving microcirculatory parameters.’ The herb is very good news for varicose veins. This demonstrable improvement in microcirculatory efficiency may explain Gotu Kola’s ancient reputation as an aid to mental clarity, high blood pressure, fever, rheumatism and mental disorders. http://www.herbmed.org/Herbs/Herb95.htm: Clinical Trials Microcirculatory parameters improved for 87 patients with chronic venous hypertensive microangiopathy taking 30 mg bid or 60 mg bid for 2 months Cesarone 1994 Bioavailability for asiatic acid and asiaticoside was quite similar, about 600 ng.h/ml, in 12 healthy Rush 1993 Review finds that Centella asiatica is effective in venous insufficiency, reducing ankle edema, foot swelling, capillary filtration rate and improving microcirculatory parameters Cesarone 1992 High circulating endothelial cells in postphlebitic patients was brought down by C asiatica triterpenic fraction Montecchio 1991 Varicose vein patients taking 60 mg/day for three months had declines in serum uronic acid 467 to 231 mcg/ml, beta-glycuronidase 1.8 to 1.2 microM, acetylglucosaminidase 23 to 18, arysulfatase 78 to 42 nM Arpaia 1990 Four weeks of triterpene fraction decreased capillary filtration rate, ankle circumference and edema in patients with venous pressure greater than 42 mmH Belcaro 1990 Two weeks’ treatment with total triterpenic fraction, 60 mg, tid, decreased wheal disappearance time, indicating decreased capillary filtration and permeability Belcaro 1990 Plasma levels in humans, measured by HPLC, are higher with continuing twice daily ingestion than single dose of 30 or 60 mg of triterpenic fraction of Centella Grimaldi 1990 Titrated extract reduced symptoms of heaviness in the lower limbs and edema and improved venous distensibility in a double-blind randomized trial with 94 patients with venous insufficiency Pointel 1987 Observational Studies/Case Reports Scleroderma patients benefited from madecassol, which contains asiaticoside (Article in Russ

We use only 100% Gluten-free, Vegetable Cellulose ”00” capsules for all of our encapsulated products. We offer both bulk powder and capsules. Obviously our bulk bottles are bulk powder, not capsules, but the capsule weight is included to give you a way of judging the recommended dosage. Gotu Kola – Standardized Extract — Approximately 600 mg. each capsule. 1/2 teaspoon of powder is about equal to one capsule. Powder can be consumed by sprinkling it over your food or mixing it with a syrup such as maple or chocolate. You could also mix it with orange juice. The citric acid in the orange juice will help to mask any unpleasant powder tastes. Other common names: Centella, Indian Pennywort, Brahmi, Chi-hsing, Hydrocotyle To rejuvenate your body and boost your energy, endurance and mental clarity, try Gotu Kola. This time-honored herb has a reputation for alleviating fatigue and depression, treating memory loss and even prolonging life! An ancient proverb claimed, ”Two leaves a day keep old age away.” History: Gotu Kola is a low-growing, creeping vine that is native to India and may be found in marshy areas and roadside ditches in China, Africa, Sri Lanka and other parts of Southeast Asia. Interestingly, it may also be found in the southeastern part of the United States. In Indian cuisine, it is sometimes served as a salad or cooked vegetable and has also been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine to revitalize the nerves and brain cells. In Sri Lanka, the leaves are said to be the favored food of elephants (an elephant never forgets?). Historically, in traditional Indian and Chinese medicines, Gotu Kola is considered to be one of the best herbal nerve tonics and a life-enhancer that contributes to long life. It is prominently featured in the Shen Nong Herbal, compiled in China over two thousand years ago, as one of the ”miracle elixirs of life,” and legend says that the Chinese herbalist, LiChing Yun, who claimed to have lived for 256 years, credited Gotu Kola for his longevity. Gotu Kola is rich in beta-carotene, sterols (campesterol, stigmasterol and sitosterol), saponins (also called triterpenoids), alkaloids, flavonols, saccharides, amino and fatty acids, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, zinc and vitamins B1, B2, B3, C and K. Its active ingredients sometimes vary, depending on the geographic area from which the herb is gathered, but it does not contain cola or caffeine, as its name would suggest. Beneficial Uses: This time-honored herb has a reputation for improving concentration and learning ability. It is a restorative tonic for mental decline in old age, because it protects the blood vessels that supply oxygen to the brain and stimulates circulation. It is considered a ”brain food” that increases mental activity. Gotu Kola is sometimes known as the ”memory herb” that revitalizes the brain cells and helps in the treatment of Alzheimer’s dise

This demonstrable improvement in microcirculatory efficiency may explain Gotu Kola’s ancient reputation as an aid to mental clarity, high blood pressure, fever, rheumatism and mental disorders.
