Create your Home Gym with Minimum of Equipment

Training at home could prove as a good solution for the ones interested. The effectiveness of this type of training could compare to the one of working out in the gym, as long as some factors are considered.

The first, and at the same time the most important of these, is owning the necessary equipment. If, besides this, you also have a partner who trains with you, the exercises can be as effective as the ones performed in the gym. The main disadvantage of not having a partner to train with is reflected in the amount of loading in some exercises, which cannot reach its maximum. There are many exercises which can be loaded to maximum without any risk, even if there is no partner to assist you (pull-ups, dips, shoulder presses, barbell curs, dumbbell curls, etc.).

An advantage which comes from training at home is that you can choose the training time without any restraint. Moreover, the speed of exercising can be increased a lot if the practitioner chooses to execute supersets, tri sets or giant sets. You can also save time, as you are not distracted by casual conversation, by waiting for the machines to be available, by having to change the weights for every personal series of exercises, etc.

In the extreme case when we can only afford as equipment a mattress, chairs and a towel, we can focus on exercises using the weight of the body (push-ups, reverse push-ups , between chairs push-ups, squats, sit-ups, crunches, hyperextensions, lunges, plyometrics, plunks, etc.).

If you are a new guitarist, strumming you might sound a bit awry! But do not worry, there are several techniques out there to help you improve you strum, and thus improve your sound and ability as a new player!

One key way to improve your strumming is to visualize the rhythm pattern before you begin playing. Some people find it helpful to say rhythm patterns aloud before even attempting to play. Depending on the song, it usually sounds like this: down, up, down, up, down, down, down, up, down, up, down, up, up, down, up. If you really can not say rhythm before attempting to play it, then you are not able to.

Another good tip is to make sure you do not pause between strumming patterns. It is very important. Like many things that you try the first time, need to focus, and avoid stopping yourself from. Stopping will cause you to loose in your area, and can cause some serious problems with rhythm and confusion. If you practice a guitar software audio file, and then listen very closely, and you hear that there are no pauses or breaks when the pattern switches to the point where the exercise starts to surface, this is what you need to aim for.

Practice the exercise alone, and slowly as possible. You can build your speed up as you get used to the rhythm and it is surprising how quickly you can pick it up and gradually get faster and faster in doing so. Your goal should be the strumming pattern down and play without any pauses. Like I said, I have time later to improve your speed, as it will improve as you get used to the rhythm. When you feel comfortable, you can try playing with the audio file, but be very careful, as you do not pick up any bad habits.

An unusual tip to improve your strumming, is to improve your posture! You can play guitar in almost any position, but good position is an important part in getting the most out your guitar. Bad posture is not only the limits of your guitar playing improving, but you can put yourself at greater risk for straining muscles! Not to mention it can be very difficult and uncomfortable for any new player. Constant bad playing posture may even cause or worsen disease back. It is best to sit upright, and set the guitar on your leg. Armless chairs are ideal for this kind of play. If you play classically, you might want to purchase a foot rest on top of your left leg (right leg if you are left handed)

As a beginner, it might be a bit boring when you is learning.
