Musical instruments is the soul of a musician. As the owner of one, you will want to make the best possible care of it. Keeping it real clean no only helps with clearer sound, this increases the life of the instrument. Ultrasonic cleaner technology has developed to such an extent that tabletop unit can be used for the small brass instruments or even for parts that make up the larger instruments. Cleaning is done in minutes and that too without damage to the lacquer instruments.

The first thing you need to do is your instrument checked by experts to determine its suitability for ultrasonic cleaning. Your choice of cleaning unit size depends on the instrument you have to accommodate. Dismantle your instrument if so required. This would mean to remove felts, pads, tubes and rotating corks if any. These are not really strong during ultrasonic cleaning. Removes all of this is similar to a careful testing of the instrument, but it's worth the effort. The dismantling process will be much easier for smaller brass instruments which number of parts will be less.

When the instrument is done in a round cleaner, you have to take it out and rinse them in lukewarm water. Dry the outer part of a clean cloth. Professional musicians may think of investing in larger ultrasonic cleaning unit to handle instruments such as trombones and tubas. In such cases, a double boiler system can also be used to include smaller portions during a cleaning cycle. The smaller parts can be placed some cleaning solution on a stainless steel bowl or two and they could be floated on the unit. These parts are also effectively clean.
