I heard a song in the 90s and again a few days ago at a friends wedding (she Cuban). The song sounded African (almost like up tempo tribal gospel), but my friend told me it was cuban and sung in Spanish. I love it, but I don’t know the title or artist. Unfortunately I don’t know Spanish either…

That makes me think of Magalenha by Sergio Mendes. That song is actually Afro Brazilian and he’s singing in Portuguese.
