I was wondering if it was possible to use a guitar amp on a Roland V-Drumset. Or am I just gonna have to buy a V-Drum amp? Im so lost.. I have a TD-6 SXT, btw.

If I can use a guitar amp, how do I set it up? Where do I plug what into what? This is my first electronic drumset so Im all so confused, any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

Nvm, I hooked up my guitar amp with it, but it sounds horrible. So, any recommendations for V-Drum amps?

I’ve used the basic Roland amp that they suggest and wasn’t impressed at all. Then I got a keyboard amp. I don’t remember what kind it was…its been a few years since I played. The keyboard amp was much better because it’s made to amplify the whole sound spectrum because that’s what a keyboard does. Guitar amps are made to amplify mids to highs. However, if you’re going for pure sound quality, get yourself an actual sound system. Concert speakers are also made to produce the whole sound spectrum. I would say get a couple of powered Mackie’s and if you really want to go all out get a powered Mackie sub too. Then get a little mixer. Behringer makes cheap ones that are ok but they usually break after a couple years. Mackie also makes a decently priced mixer that will last quite a bit longer. Anything between 2 and 8 channels will be sufficient. Plug the stereo outs from your module into the mixer and run the speakers to the mixer and you’ve got a really good sounding set of electronic drums. Hopefully this helps a little.
