Eurovision Song Contest see not long ago I started thinking about Abba when they were getting back together at what the rumors say. Well they are getting back together or not? Let's look back and maybe we will find the answer.

"Waterloo" is the song that paved the way to their success and was also their first UK No.1. Their first album although it did not have a huge impact on the album charts, it received positive reviews from even "serious" publications such as "Washington Post".

After album after album they started dominating the charts creating songs that were attractive and deceptively simple. Today's bands would die for just one song like them. In fact we see a lot of bands just come and go never to be immortals as Abba.

So knowing this why they break up? Well name pops into my head and Yoko. We can see a similarity in the case Beatles. None the Beatles, except for John of course, liked Yoko. And … this. What happened to Abba? The group is based on two couples, Björn / Agnetha and Benny / Frida. Can we just assume the tensions that come from this kind of situation although it was also the magic of Abba.

Cracks started to appear when Agnetha and Björn divorced just two months after Benny and Frida got married. ABBA gradually began to dissolve. Another blow is 2 years after they married Benny and Frida also got divorced.

we can also notice a change in style and became more personal lyrics. Songs like "The Winner Takes It All", "When all said and done "and" One of Us "gave us clear hints of their personal issues.

But why now after 32 years since "Waterloo" won the Eurovision Song Contest in the group never made a comeback even when the band was offered 1 billion dollars to reunite?

Let's see what happened. In the mid 80's public lost interest in Abba but soon after the release of the Abba Gold: Greatest Hits in 1992 can We see a recovery. Björn noted that this regeneration is due to the fact they were never reunited. "No we have made a comeback" Björn said in a Swedish tabloid. "Almost everybody else is. I think there is a message in that."

But it is not just a front to hide the real issues? In "Mamma Mia" in London Benny, Björn and Frida was present. Agnetha did not. Rumor has it after the divorce and Björn Agnetha did not part as friends. The reason is she does not reunite Abba: He could not stand him! Their divorce was ceasing Abba from having a comeback.

Since the break up Agnetha's Björn and interaction is kept to a minimum. If it is not for children Agnetha I'd never have talked to him again.

Having witnessed the greatest denial of history, the fact that Agnetha is avoiding not only Björn but other members well, we are led to the hard facts: Abba will never get back together. As sad as it may sound it is probably for the best. Maybe It is better for us to keep in our minds the old pictures of them in their prime. Abba does not have to reunite to stimulate them. They are always in our hearts. And has been for years to come.

Fairytales

After winning the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, Alexander Rybak was naturally a sensation throughout Europe and scored a big hit with his debut album, Fairytales, titled after the prize-winning song. It’s a light album, with less than ten songs and a running time under 40 minutes (not counting bonus material), but this initial showcase of recording material shows promise and should please Rybak fans who enjoy “Fairytale.” Like that song, the bulk of the album is written by the 22-year-old violinist, who thoroughly demonstrates not only his songwriting talent but also his talents for musical composition and English-language vocals. Part of the appeal of Rybak, of course, involves his back-story. Recounted many times, the story begins in 1987, when he was born in Minsk to musically inclined parents, the father a classical violinist, the mother a classical pianist. At four years old, Rybak and his family moved from Minsk, then part of the Soviet Union, to Norway. He began playing piano at the age of five and began studies at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo at the age of ten. A little over ten years later he made Eurovision history when, as the representative of Norway, he garnered 387 points, the highest tally ever. In the wake of his history-making Eurovision win, Rybak began working with a few different producers and came up with the nine songs comprising Fairytales. The title track, with its memorable violin refrain, was a chart-topping smash hit in a half-dozen countries across Europe. The follow-up singles “Funny Little World” and “Roll with the Wind” were less successful but stand out as album highlights all the same. “Funny Little World” addresses Rybak’s newfound fame with a sunny set of lyrics, and the song is almost entirely free of violin, driven instead by acoustic guitar and a light drum track. On the other hand, violin figures prominently in “Roll with the Wind,” the lively album opener with a Celtic air, one of only two songs not …
