violin metronomes
When a student first started to play guitar one of the very first things I always teach the eight critical first position guitar chords. There's a myriad number of tunes that use the chords to them. When a student gets the chords down that they can play and learn as many songs which is a big motivator to keep learning and improving their guitar playing abilities.
Eight critical chords are: A, Us (pronounced A minor age), C, D, E, Emin (pronounced E minor), F, and G.
Lets start with the chord G. Here's frets that you need not fret to play the G chord:
G:
[3 0 2 0 0 3]
Fret on the 3rd of concerns the lowest string (6th string) and the 2nd fret of the 5th string and The 3rd string tension is the highest (the 1st string). You will also play the 2nd, 3rd and fourth string open.
Next lets move to the D chord. Lo the frets you need to play to play a D chord:
D:
[Xx 0 2 3 2]
The x's mean do not you play the notes, so you do not play anything on the 5th and 6th string for this chord. Fret the 2nd fret 1st string, 2nd string 3rd fret of the 2nd and 3rd string f ret. In. need to play the fourth string open.
Next is the C chord. Here you fret at the 1st fret 2nd string, 2nd fret of 4th string and 3rd concerns the 5th string. Do not play the 6th string at the first and third string played open.
C:
[X 3 2 1 0 0]
The next chord is a chord. For a chord to fret 2nd fret 2nd string, 3rd fret the 2nf string and the 2nd fret of 4th string. Do not play 6 string and play the 1st string and 5th string open.
A:
[X 0 2 2 2 0]
The us is almost the same chord or a chord. The only difference between the two is the 2nd string. Us for the 1st fret 2nd fret of the string, the remaining string is equal to a chord.
U.S.:
[X 0 2 2 1 0]
Next is the E chord. Here you worry the 1fret 3rd string, 2nd fret of 4th string at the 2nd fret of the 5th string. You also play the 6th, 2nd, and 1st string open on this chord.
E:
[0 2 2 1 0 0]
The Emin chord is similar to the E chord. The difference is the 3rd string. Emin play for the 3rd string tomorrow. The remaining strings are identical to the E chord.
Emin:
[0 2 2 0 0 0]
The last chord is the F chord. It is often the most difficult guitar chord for beginning players to get down. fret the 1st fret of the 1st and 2nd string 2nd fret then the 3rd string at the 3rd fret of the 4th string. Do not play the 5 or 6 string for string. The key to playing this chord is clean to use your first finger to bar both 1st and 2nd string first fret. it may take one moment or you get down just keep training and you'll get it.
F:
[Xx 3 2 1 1]
To the practice chords start your metronome to 80BPM and play one of them (like the D chord) on beat 1. So you are going to strum one chord and hold for 2,3 and 4. You then again at 1 strum with the same rhetoric. Try doing this all eight chords until you can play them on time and clean. Then bump up the metronome to 90BPM and do it again. When you get down to 90BPM chords then increase to 100 BPM. Do not try to play chords with a very fast tempo when you first start. Play the chords slowly and try to make it sound as clean as you can. Keep bumping up the BPM until you can play chords on a temp very fast (180bpm is good to shoot for).
The next step is to try to play two different chords. Try G and D chords. Roundup You strum the chords one and hold for 2, 3 and 4. Nowadays you play the G on the first beat then move to the D to the next first beat. Again, start it at a slower BPM.
Move on to play the C to D again switching on the first beat. Us is a later, then try E Emin. Finally try The hardest group C chord F. When you get the chord changes down to increase your BPM. When you get to sounding good try switching between three chords. Try GD C. And to Us, D, G. And the E, A then D. Play around with different combinations of chords, you will naturally hear some of the chords sound more better together than others.
When you get to this point you can start learning the songs. This is going to take some work on your part, training the chords until you can. Consistency is the key to taking it down. Try to practice for at least 30 min 4 – 5 times per week. You can do it!
